Arch Linux 下的軟體包由 makepkg 和自訂的組建腳本 PKGBUILD 產生。打包完的軟體就交給 Pacman 安裝、管理。官方倉庫內所有軟體的 PKGBUILD 都可以從 ABS 目錄樹得到；Arch 使用者倉庫 (AUR) 下也有數千種可以使用的軟體 (無官方支援)。
